With over 40 years of combined experience as a player and coach, Sabrina brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the world of coaching. Her journey began on the field, where she dedicated herself to honing her skills as a player. Alongside her own playing journey, Sabrina embarked on coaching girls in specialty areas, leveraging her expertise to nurture their growth and development.
Throughout the years, Sabrina has been an active presence in the community softball scene, volunteering her time to support and guide young athletes as they took their first steps onto the field. As her daughters evolved in their softball journeys, Sabrina found herself inspired to contribute even more to the sport she loves.
In the past 5 years, Sabrina has embraced coaching roles, both as an assistant and head coach. Sabrina is a Level 2 Comp-Intro Trained coach. Last year, she had the privilege of serving as an assistant coach for the Adrenaline U13 team, that not only achieved a winning season but also secured medals in every tournament.
Sabrina believes in empowering girls not only to excel on the field but also to grow as individuals. Her coaching style emphasizes the values of collaboration, dedication, and a genuine enthusiasm for the sport. Whether through strategic game planning or fostering a supportive team environment, she is committed to helping athletes thrive both on and off the field. Kevin is a NCCP Softball Comp-Intro Certified coach and has been an active member within the organization for past 4 years and is excited to join CAFA as the U15 (2009) coach this season. Kevin has coached softball and baseball for the last 10 Years, most recently, he was the Head Coach of the CAFA U15-Red team where the team had some great success, walking away with 2 tournament medals. Prior to the 2023 season Kevin managed the 2022 South Calgary AAA U16 Senior Baseball team to a silver medal in the Little League 2022 Provincials.
Kevin played multiple sports growing up, but baseball was his true passion, playing at a competitive level throughout his youth and into college where he played for the Lethbridge PBA Dawgs Collegiate Program as a pitcher. Kevin still actively plays men’s baseball in the city which keeps his competitive spirit alive while remaining active.
Kevin tries to instill a strong work ethic with each athlete. A players success extends far beyond the work put in during practices and games. Every player needs the motivation to continue to hone their skills and it is up to the coaching staff to provide the tools necessary to do so. Keeping the game fun, while pushing their capabilities to the limit is the key to success. As long as everyone on the team is striving for the same goal, there is no limit to their achievements.
Kevin is looking forward to a very competitive season with some very high expectations for the 2024 season.
